St. Joseph’s GAC has been providing Gaelic games to the local community since 1943. The Club has grown steadily in that time and has seen rapid growth linked to the development of Glenavy village over the last 20 years. Glenavy GAC wanted a redesign of their existing website to give it a new look and feel and better appeal to their team and club members, particularly their younger stakeholders. The club is heavily involved in the community and the site was to be a forum for community events and club developments as well as team related news.
Solution
A fresh colour scheme was applied to the site with vibrant accents and elements to appeal to their site visitors. Clear navigation headings, call to actions and buttons provided clarity and direction for visitors.
Match fixture integrations, club lotto integrations and a number of club related downloads were implemented. A ‘Team Zone’ section was created specifically for the teams but also a host of community information devised from a new sitemap. Graphical elements reinforced the message of the club. They curcial in helping visitors take appropriate actions and easily find information.
